Tough little buggers and fun to drive, but they rusted out worse than a 1960 Studebaker! If you get one of these, install a grill guard. The radiator is right behind the grill waiting to be speared by a branch thirty miles from nowhere. Carry Solder Seal in the glove box and extra water!

Drove cross country in one of these with Mom and Dad after high school on our way back to NH from the worst coast. 4WD with the removeable top which leaked like a sieve. Workers left a bolt in the tranny which popped up in Arizona and f'd the tranny. Took 4 days to get a new one. Lotsa torque. It was easy to loose the rear end when on a slippery road. But, great fun.

PE, bet that made a heck of a racket! Working with powers presses we usually keep a tray to track parts coming out and going in. It reduces extra bolt mistakes, but people still get very creative in how they break things.
I’ve sometimes wondered if the longevity of today’s cars isn’t at least partly explainable by the reduction of human hands involved in their building and servicing.

TBS, I’m guessing this one won’t see any more off-roading than a drive or two across a beach!
